Huia Hamon is from an artistic family and both her parents Awanui and Helen are creatives and her koro Rei Hamon is a renowned Māori artist of the Aotearoa NZ forest. She literally grew up in an art gallery, so it is a natural state for her to paint, draw and make. She has had several art exhibitions and successful colouring series and is the custodian of the Hamon Art online art gallery and shop.
